Lourenço brings a deep technical foundation and a passion for identifying transformative machine learning applications. With a focus on the intersection of data-driven innovation and venture strategy, Lourenço evaluates early-stage opportunities by bridging the gap between cutting-edge research and scalable commercial implementation.

Prior to joining Converge, Lourenço held several engineering roles, where he developed a rigorous technical background in building, scaling, and deploying complex AI and machine learning systems. This hands-on experience enables Lourenço to evaluate the technical feasibility, infrastructure, and competitive moats of startups across the AI stack, from foundational models to applied vertical solutions.

Lourenço holds a Master of Engineering in Data Science from Cornell Tech and a Bachelor’s degree from Cornell University. Through his academic and professional journey, he has cultivated a deep understanding of the evolving AI landscape alongside a passion for finding founders who are pushing the boundaries of what is possible in artificial intelligence.
